Fogged Up Mashmaster Dial Thermometer

I have a 3 inch dial Mashmaster thermometer that has fogged up making it extremely hard to read. I thought they were meant to be waterproof?? Anyway, does anyone know how i can un-fog it?

Doesn't sound right - guess a seal has gone somewhere. Is it possible to take apart?

I've read that others have fixed the steam behind glass on other bits of equipment by putting it in the oven for a while on a lowish temp, but am not saying that would work for the guage

Put it in the oven.
Not the microwave though
