Just completed my first electric brew.
Have been using the megajet burner and 70L stainless pot from CraftBrewer but I recently bought a 40L Crown urn from a member here. Seeing as I was only doing a single batch today and given that I was out of gas I thought I'd try a BIAB in the urn instead.
I must say the urn is a great piece of kit. So easy to ramp temps for mashout. Got up to and maintained a rolling boil beautifully (it's a concealed element without the boil-dry overridden and I had none of the problems I've heard reported). And so QUIET compared to the burner which sounds like a jet taking off in comparison.
I'm planning to get my HERMS up and running as time and funds allow and I think I might put a couple of elements in the big pot and go full electric for double batches too.
If only had the time and money for a full-on electric brewery.
