Fermentor Gone Crazy

im 18 hrs into primary fermentation and upon looking closer at my vessel it appears that I have all kinds of activity goin on in there. There seems to be yeast balls going up, down, sideways. i have never noticed that before is that normal?? I mean it is really busy in there. I tasted it and tastes sweet and hoppy. I pitched some cleaned slurry from a previous batch and believe it got cookin really early yesterday

Sounds fine - pitching a nice fresh slurry starter will always get you a nice strong start...

How did your last apa turn out?

yea, good Ross thanx for asking. It is in secondary now with 25g of cascade on top. I was a little worried that it was too much for dry hopping but tasting it today, it is sublime!!!! I did my 5th ag yesterday (same recipe as before) with a mate over who still does kits but wants to get into ag. I hit my Preboil target, I hit most of my gravities give or take two points post boil and I got 70% effeciency for the second time. For the first time it felt like I knew what I was doing!!! :beerbang:

That's great news JJ, I look forward sampling a glass or 2 - I dry hop with 50gms in my apa's, so don't be concrned...

Stone Cold Crazy!!!!! Metallica. day on the green Oakland Colliseum 1989 faith no more, sound garden and me curled up to cheap beer in a rented van!!!

Seen them In Yokaham Japan, Oakland Califnornia and Brisbane last year. It wasn the same though cause im an old dude now.
