It must be around 6-8 weeks since I brewed John Palmer's brown ale and I love it. A delicious drop.

Reg,

is that the Tittabawasee Brown Ale recipe he has on the Howtobrew website? If so, did you do the extract or all-grain version?

Cheers - Steve

Can you post your version of John's recipe Reg ?

Cheers,
Doc

It's the John Palmer Tittabawasee Brown Ale recipe - same as on the website - I made the grain version. It was a lovely brew.

Reg (or anyone else that has done the John Palmer Tittabawasee Brown Ale recipe),

I would be interested in making this. At this stage just the extract version.

Can anyone offer assistance / advice on making this a little more Australian friendly and where to get the ingredients for it?

For anyone that hasn;t seen the recipe it can be found on this page

It's been a while and I didn't keep a copy of changes - however I probably used Northern Brewer for bittering - should have made a note. Yeast could have been safale.

Any (good) HBS should stock the malt extract and grain you need. Most HBS's will have williamette pellets too. As for the nugget hops, substitute them for northern brewer as suggested by Reg.

Just use www.onlineconversion.com to convert all the amounts :) I presume thats all for a 5gal (19L) batch ?
