And here I was hoping (in vain) the mkol bottle would slip under the AHB radar!
No chance.

Bad luck Q, i hope this guy gets black-listed on ebay. I'd say that he's got an obligation to sell all the listed items to you for the buy it now price and suggest you push it. It'll ensure a lesson is learned (him, not you). then just out of spite, break it up and onsell any of the items you don't want.
(perhaps claim a discount for any fees {legal or otherwise} incurred for his misconduct)

Quintrex... I would go him... by putting it up for sale on ebay and having the auction end with a sale, he has entered into a contract with him. At the very least, he should be reported to eBay and negative feedback left.
Gotta love a timewaster...

I agree however unfortunately he has the power, I can't make him hand over the goods for the amount. Plus if I organize hiring a ute like I was going to(to pick it up) and make the trip to kyneton and he stuffs me round, it'll just be worse. He can just make a new account on ebay if I leave him negative feedback. I'm sure it'd be a totally different story if I broke the contract though.

You may not be able to, but the small claims tribunal could. If you're willing to gamble the $50 filing fee, that is. You just have to figure out what your damages really are...I agree however unfortunately he has the power, I can't make him hand over the goods for the amount. you just contact ebay and let them handle it.
also if you have his address, you can send some fellas over there to have a chat. im available at a rate of a couple beers for a few hours work
great link RK... looks like there is definite precedence...
Qintrex... would def recommend at least lodging a complaint with eBay via their dispute resolution process.
