Hi all,
Has anyone been successful? Their site say it's bottle conditioned, and I was more interested in the Dunkel, because I've got a couple of bottles of it.
Cheers.

I read somewhere that they use a different strain for bottling. Someone else will have to confirm/deny, but I don't think the strain in the bottle is the same as that used for primary fermentation.

Bottle-conditioned, but not with the primary strain, I'd say.

They likely use a lager strain for longevity of storage.

I think you'll find any re-cultures to be un-weizeny.

Les :(

Schneider Weisse (the cloudy one of course) is conditioned with the same yeast as used in the primary.
It's the only one that I know off that does it.

Cool thanks guys, I'll grab a liquid then.

Hofbrau uses the same yeast for bottle conditioning. I've cultured this one quite a few times.

so doesanyone know if the schider aventinus yeast is a good'un? the bottle conditioned yeast webpage only list the hefe, but I assume they use the same yeast throughout.
