Thought I do a keg fill, coopers draught , BE2 & US-05.
Been reading about yeast, 1grm per litre but my 05 is only 10g.
Should I make up the other 13 g with the kit yeast or just go with the 05.
( bout to open tin now)

What's the gravity?

23L batch, I tend to pitch one 11gm packet with no adverse effects on about a 1040-1055.

Getting close go opening tin now.
Was thinking of just going 20l into fermenter, I've always just added 1 pk of 05 with no dramas , just wonder if any benefit In more or not

Hey DAC
I reckon that 10g of US05 is going to handle that brew with no worries

Thanks fella's, done & dusted 21 lt @ 1.041 og
Not bad for only $20.
See in time.

Hey DAC, ive been doin a few kits recently & i do 2 at the same time. I buy 1 pkt of fermentis or lallemand yeast for one brew & pitch both kit yeasts in the other.

I pitched 2 kit yeasts in my current brew, after 3 days it was down to 1.012.

I don't think there's any need to be throwing that much yeast at these brews. Not that you are risking a massive over pitch just that you will be failing to capitalise on the true yeast profile.
