ev'nin all just came across some junk mail from cheap as chips.
they have stockpots listed as follows.
not so small....$10.00.
medium....$12.00.
large..$14.00.
x large...$16.00.
quality ?
capacity ?
dont know if cheap as chips is in other states but these are available in south oz...cheers....spog....
 
Cheers for the tip, in the market for a stockpot to start me some extract brewing!
 
If you work out the volumes with these pots, a 19L is OK for a BIAB partial mash (2/3 AG, 1/3 extract), but if you want to do a full fermenter's- worth of an all grain brew (23L) its really just too small (obviously). The smaller 12 L is fine for extract and kit & bits boils.
I use both, the larger mostly for the all grain BIAB mash and just accept the smaller batch size of about 14- 15 litres by the time its in the cube/fermenter. I drain my BIABs into the smaller one while the first runnings (or whatever its called when you BIAB and batch sparge) are heating up on the burner.

Was in K-Mart today they had 15 or 16lt stock pots ss for $14 with a glss lid.
