That's right Hopsta. I never got one with the subscription.
Have ordered one from G&G with the latest Zymurgy though. Should be here today/tomorrow.

It's a collection of all the clone recipes BYO has published over the years, grouped by style. My take on it is that if you are a long-time subscriber to BYO, you will have all of these recipes scattered between the issues, so the only benefit would be having them all in one place (which would save you looking through each issuefor a specific recipe). For me, as I've only subscribed for ~18 months, it's great - it's more cost efficient than buying all the back issues. It's got a great range of commercial beers in it - particularly for hopheads...

Some of my favourite beer related porn at the moment. Love reading those recipes for inspiration.

Is there a malt equivalent table somewhere.
e.g. Victory biscuit malt is equal to ...... ?

Sounds exciting, my only hope is they have edited the magazine properly for a change, they usually have to print 1 or 2 recipe corrections in each subsequent edition as it is.

Cheers

Is there a recipe for Barliman Butterburrs Bigtime Bitter among the clones?

C'mon Andrew,

That's a bit harsh. They hardly ever print corrections, even when the recipe is wrong, like many of their metric conversions. I recommend to use Brewing Software to check the recipe. Their Gose recipe had too much salt, etc.

Having said that, my Berliner was based (based, OK?) on a BYO sour weisse recipe. I researched the style (thanks to brewers here for links), I used some suggestions of theirs and substituted Aussie malt and my own lacto culture, and recalculated the boil length to get the right IBUs. Came out OK, IMHO. See the recipes section. Only 2 stubbies left here iin the beer dungeon, and they're going to the Nationals. They can slot them into another category (if they want).

Seth out

Hmmm, yet another thing to add to the list, does it have a Trois Pistoles clone in it Ross?

Is that a Mexican Beer? Anything like Modelo ***** or Dos Equis?

Quite the opposite more of a dubble but from Canada (the froggy bit on the east coast) kinda like a liquidfied christmas pud.
