I bottled the brown sugar bitter today. FG was 1008 and it took 8 days to hold at that. The sample I tasted was pretty good. Not overly sweet and no cider or fruity notes. The hops come thru loud and clear as they should. I was very afraid that this brew may have been a waste of time but I am now more confident that it will be okay. I used corn sugar as primer and have it in my cellar for bottle conditioning. I will update again in 1 month when I do the first tasting.

add to the recipe db?

I will after the tasting as I am not sure if it will be worth it. It is very easy however, just a Coopers English Bitter can (tin) 4 pounds (1.8 kilograms) dark brown sugar, coopers ale yeast.

I'm glad it turned out and wasn't too sweet. Thanks for the update, it's handy to know the results of other's experiments
