A pommy mate reckons my latest brew tastes a lot like Newcastle Brown

1.7kg Coopers Real Ale
1kg Dark dried malt extract
12g East Kent Goldings @ 15min
8g Fuggles @ 15min
S-04 yeast
23L
3.8%

Very nice pulled through a beer engine
 
I can't accept credit for that recipe. That was Manticle's work. The recipe I came up with myself is a bit simpler:

2 cans coopers dark ale
1kg dex
1kg LDME
50g cascade @ 15
50g cascade @ 0
2 sachets us05

Made to 48L (because I wasn't paying attention when I poured the water in). I bottled it on Friday & it tasted good out of the fermenter. I've got a 46L batch of Manticle's recipe in the ferment fridge now. It's 1 of few brews I've done twice.
