Does anyone have a copy of these? I seem to have lost mine and need the volumes that were on it.

If you could please pm them to me, or better still scan the page so I can print it out.

Cheers

I am on mobile right now but I am pretty sure the manual has volumes for both?

...or have I been putting 20l model volumes in my 25l malt pipe al this time?

I can't remember getting instruction with the short malt pipe. The rod on the 50L BM has markings at 15, 20 and 25l, and at 45, 50 and 55L.

EDIT: sorry thought you were referring to the 50L BM. Cant help you with the 20L BM short pipe.

According to the Spiedel website "Marking on the drawbar on the bottom 12-litre"

I think Batz has a 50L.

Would be good if you could post it here. I wouldn't mind looking at the details.

Yes I have the 50lt, I bought the short malt pipe from Craftbrewer and it came with one page of instructions, from memory there was not a lot on it. I've asked Ross if he can scan a copy of one of his others in the shop for me, unless anyone else finds one first.

Cheers

Hmmm. I don't remember any short malt pipe instructions. I've always used what the manual says which refers to the 23l/53l mark on the tie rod.

I'd be really interested if the instructions say something different for the 25l jobbie... it's possible I've been underwatering my mash, which could explain why my efficiency has never been quite where everyone else's is?

Kinda....though as was found on the main Braumeister thread 10 or so pages ago, those measurements take into account ~5l of deadspace, which was very kind and efficient of ze germans to do for us, but for me I prefer to no actual volumes...I've found the 25l marking point is hit when there are 30l of water in there and this was confirmed by at least one other BM owner...

No problem, brewing now so it really doesn't matter anymore. As I said to my limited memory there was very little on it, it obviously didn't mean that much to me, otherwise I would have taken more care of it. ;)

Hey Batz, where did you source that image? I appreciate MrNoTips comment that the actual volumes of the BM may not match those in the manual, but my reading of the manual is that the bottom three markings reflect 15, 20 and 25L as per the 20L BM. I have been meaning to measure the actual volumes in my BM, but I am a little curious to the source of your diagram.

Awesome image. So where do most people fill to when using the 25l pipe? I guess I am doing about 26/27l.

Well I have had mine almost 12 months and used it yesterday for the first time, I used 6kg of grain and 30lts. Worked well and missed by only 2 points, not bad for a first shot.
