Hey all,

Thought i had my heating element sorted from an aussie supplier. But to get a circle element around 400mm diameter with the minimum bend on the ends to go out the pot, they want $210!

Anyone recommend a source for elements? Looking for around 3k-3.6k element.

Thanks again!

Try looking up Istra Elements in Caringbah NSW. They made the low density stainless element in my kettle for around $160 and did the element in my HERMS vessel for under 100. That was a spiral flat element with minimum bend to the (brass) terminals. I imagine what you want would be similar but in a big circle?

I paid $121+GST at Romar elements for a pre-bent 3KW element. I bought two, with one at 430mm bend ratio and one at 445mm bend ratio and they bent the ends nice and tight so I don't have to wait for ages before turning them on. I have yet to install them.

From another thread, I was led to believe that these guys actually supply the Thermal Products firm with bendable elements.
At Thermal Products the same element (but NOT pre-bent in a circle) was $138+GST

Try contacting [email protected] who was VERY helpful. Not sure about shippment as they would be bulky. If you pickup and pay cash, you might even get the element cheaper.

Cheers

I've got 2 x 2400 watt elements on order with romar price was good made to specified diameter and as low to the base of the pot as your going to get.

Nice! Mind if I ask how much? (unless it was some special deal etc) How low to the pot will they be?

Actually done my research this week and got various quotes, ended up going with romar.
$120 for a 3.6kw element, with a 400mm outside diameter and very low in the pot.

Very happy with that.

Its getting made at the moment.

Happy with the service so far

Lael, Like $240 delivered, one at 430mm and one at 400mm. Fluid level should be around 50-60mm. Will post something once all the kit arrives and I get back from the fabricators with the stand.
