Whoa !!

Great isn't it?

Sounds like you blokes had a great time

Think back 18 months or so , many of us had never seen eachother , now lots of us call eachother friends.

All thanks to AHB site , lets keep it up , lots of brew days , brew talk , brew sampling , only sorry people like bigd and myself , because of the distance can't join you more often.

Go QLD , you guys are doing it as well , the AHB nationals will happen !!!

Cheers to all
Batz

Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a great day. I've stopped shouting now. Because my head hurts.

A big thanks to Batz as well cos if he hadnt given me two kegs with the tops already cut out I would never have got off my ass to get an ag setup and we wouldnt have been able to make the randomized hop ESB. Both fermenters are sitting at 22 degrees and bubbling as I type.

Thanks for having us :) was a great day and I enjoyed all the sampling of brews immensly, despite being a bit under the weather from over sampling the night before <_<. Great to put some faces to a couple more AHB brewers.

Was also good not to be eaten alive by your three 'small' hounds

A great day GL - thanks for hosting it.

Just wish I did a little more re-hydration before I went to bed..... :(

oow, my aching head!

I just want to say a big thank you to Simon and Fleur for thier wonderful hospitality. The beers were wonderful, the bbq was awesome, and the wasabi broadbeans were pleasantly different :)

I think a day like yesterday is fantastic, so people like myself can see whats involved in AG. It really got me motivated to start doing it

/me wanders off for some greasy food and plenty of water

GL - talk about organising a pissup at a brewery ;)

Nice work
I've uploaded some pics of the day to the gallery section... comments later (well when I'm at work at least)

Great day again guys

Asher for now

GL,
My wife and I just flicked thru the photos. It looked like a great day and I'm kicking myself for not getting off my lazy backside and fronting up.
I must say that we both fell about laughing when we saw the amazing chiller design. It must have taken many nights sitting up with the slide rule to work that one out. Just out of curiosity, I measured the amount of water I needed to get my brew down to 22C on friday. It took 25 minutes and used 320 litres of our precious water. You must do a test on your creation so I know if I have to add some random vertical coils.

Just had a look at the pics

Simon....that chiller mate !!!

I am lost for words

Good to see the kegs cranking

 That chiller

Top marks guys, looks like simon and the better half where very fine hosts indeed.
Did that chiller get attacked by one of the hounds?
The photo's look great. some names needed though for the ones i don't know.

Have you all recovered yet as it sounds like your all like me and drink much more than just samples. :chug: :chug: :chug:

cheers Jayse

Great to see AHB members having a top day. Looks like the weather was nice and mild as well.
How about some names so we know who is who.

cheers

Ask and ye shall receive. Hope Asher doesnt mind but I have just commented all photos.

What happened too KooK a no show?
I'll post you a red card KOOK.:)

Jayse

Save the money on posting red cards, and post me that ******* beer you promised. Next time I see Mr Kook, Texas and I will be having a chat about responsibilities to the brewing community.

Well said simon, and yes the beers will be arriving..hmmmm when i get my act together.
Interest is building so the one beer is now about six.

Jayse

Rather than pming all participants will post here a note that the AHB ESB log is up and will be updated regularly if you want to monitor progress. As long as nothing goes horribly wrong will organise a tasting meet up in a couple of months.

AHB ESB log

GL thanks for commenting on the pics...
Was busy commissioning phase 3 yesterday...
Have uploaded some pics of 'Phase 3' to the gallery if anyone is interested...

Asher for now

WOW !!! very slick setup Asher !

I think I just located the venue for the WA Chapter's brew day. :)

yep lookign pretty swish, will be interested to see it in action can contrast it with the more rustic (should i say primative) setup I have.

Also want to run some detailed tests on the Convoluted CFC to see if it can beat GL's quantum engineered chaos chiller! :)

The irony will be (and I reckon this is very likely) if we find out that simon's cat's cradle chiller actually does work better than the standard perfectly round variety of chiller.
