Hey,
I'm going to be in Ghent in a few weeks- which beers should I try?
I'm aiming to try a saison as I've never had one. And do they do sour beer? I haven't had that either.
Suggestions please!!
Thanks.

Ask for a kriek, and you'll never want another type of beer ever again

You blokes rock! Thanks.
So what is this Lindemans sugar water thing? I take it it doesn't
'make you smile' ( remember the tv jingle??)

There is an interesting article in this months beer and brewer on Belgian beer styles and a trip report from Willie Simpson from the seven sheds brewery, who rode around Belgium on bikes drinking beers.

You are a lucky guy. I am putting Belgium on my next Europe trip for sure.

I am a lucky guy, Crowmanz! I'm going there to play a gig, so hopefully I can try all this stuff 'on the house'!!

Too funny, Liam! I'm only gonna be there 1 night, but I'll do my best.
I tried a Saison Dupont I got at a funky bottlo in Melbourne last weekend. Was ok, but I don't really like wheat beer.

Saison isn't a wheat beer

100% pils malt. The yeast is where all the flavour comes from. Try it when you're there you lucky mofo
