Ellerslie recently sent out their 'Hop Crop Report' and are currently pelletizing this years crop. While pellets are no doubt better for storage, distribution and use in commercial situations, I personally prefer whole hop flowers, so I asked if they'd be willing to sell some before they processed all of this year's crop. They are willing to hold back some of the hops in pressed cone form and to sell a few bags that we could then split up between ourselves. However they need to know this week, and I presume we'd need to buy a few kg to make it worth their effort, so if you're interested please say so ASAP.
This proposed Bulk Buy is for 'whole' Pride Of Ringwood Hop Flowers in pressed cone form.
The hops are from this years Australian crop and are between 9.5-10.5% AA.
If there is sufficient and quick interest, the Bulk Buy will work like this:
I'll place the order and pickup the compressed cone hops from Ellerslie.
I'll then pack the hops into clear plastic vacuum sealed bags and ship them via Australia Post (or you can pickup from here).
To keep things simple, quantities for the Bulk Buy must be placed in 250g, 500g or 1kg lots.
Price (yet to be confirmed) should be about $30 per kg (or about $7.50 per 250g bag).
