I have a fridge that is currently lagering a couple of brews @ 2'c. There is plenty of room left in the fridge and I was considering storing some bottles of ale in there as well. Any benefit?

Do it. It will certainly slow the oxidation and staling processes and also keep infections (if any are are present) at bay.

Don't drink it that cold though. That would be sacrilegious.

My last few ales have had slight mold infections, I've been storing them at around 3°C to keep it at bay while in the keg
I pour and let it sit for 5 minutes before I start drinking, it should come up a couple of degrees by then :)

I lager German ales (like Alts). Smoothes things out nicely.

I inadvertently froze one of my first ales. It was one of the finest beers I have yet to brew, after it thawed.

Do you store them at this temp for a week or so in the fermenter prior to kegging? Huge benefit in doing that. Allows the yeast to drop out and the beer to clear.
