Having never done this before (usually chill hoppy ales) I'd appreciate a critique.

Hoping to retain a decent level of hop flavour:

2kg Pale Malt
2kg Wheat
2kg Munich
250g Acidulated

20g Galaxy (cube)
40g Mosaic (cube)

Repeat above for dry hop

est og: 1.060
est ibu: 40 (calc'd cube additions as 20min)

Bringing this puppy to the boil now. How am I looking?
Have I got enough hops going in considering I've opted to omit a bittering addition?

Cheers

Wheat flavour? I dunno I just nicked the malt bill from Yob's post in the no-chill IPA thread. To clarify it is malted wheat.

Ha!! Was gunna say that it looked like something I'd brew :)

Wheat = fantastic lacing head

Personally, I'd up the mosaic to 60g, with an OG of 1060, it'll handle it ok.

Cheers

Can you taste the wheat at that level?

I agree with yob about upping the mosaic. Would even consider upping it to 80. Though I do enjoy my beers on the hoppy side

I had a go at this, the brew was full of flavor and aroma, but it was not balanced IMO, lacked some bitterness. With a small addition of Magnum or Horizon at the beginning of the boil it would have been perfect.

Was wondering the other day how you went with that one Batz.
It was a good experiment Yob, and a nice drinkable beer. Just seemed to be miss that little bit a bitterness for me.
I will be doing it again but with a 60 minute addition next time.

Agree totally, I will often add a third total desired bittering at 40 with magnum or some such, seems to round out better for my tastes too.

I do my 0 min additions by using 10 minute as the hop addition, so I think with the amount of malt, you'll could do with another hand full of Mosaic or add some simco, they go beautifully together,

Is that cubing as well mxd?

I love that for mostly cube hopping, losses to kettle are next to nil.

Right on Yob!

With the amount of hops i have been throwing into my APA and AIPA's these days that make me consider the no chill option again, losing at least an additional 1-2 litres per batch.
