G'day ladys and gents,
I just got the 4x 5500w ripple elements I ordered.
All are 10.8 ohm resistance across the terminals, that's all good.
But where the issue is, is that between either terminal and the case/earth terminal 2 are open circuit, all good right, but 2 are 50M ohm, which some times ends up going open and others doesnt. Then when I move the element around and that the resistance to earth changes.
I'm thinking this is probably wrong and presents a possible electrical hazard, or even a constant tripping of the RCBOs that will feed them?
Other then that, I'm using these 2" welldless tri clamp bulkheads to fit the elements into my build, and the element comes pretty close to the bulk head fitting, that shouldnt cause any concerns?
Cheers
