We're currently only offering the Bairds Amber, as the price on Simpson's stuff is horrendous. If you've got your heart set on the Simpsons, I can certainly make enquiries on availability/price & get Grainer to update the spreadsheet?technobabble66 said:2 quick questions:
1) is Bairds the only Amber malt from the UK available in this BB? (Is it similar quality to Simpsons?).
2) would Wey Carabelge and Dings Aromatic be fairly interchangeable? Or rather, what are the differences broadly speaking? (Or is there anything else close to Carabelge?)
As per above, the COA's don't really help much & it looks like you've already done some research.Midnight Brew said:From what Ive been trying to put together it seems that Dins Aromatic is to be treated as more of an amber malt. And that Wey Carabelge is somewhere between a crystal and an amber. It's described as light crystal characteristic but can be used up to 30%.
I really have no idea just a stab in the dark but hopefully someone more experienced and who has brewed with them can point you in the right direction.
Myself I would like to know the similarities and differences between Dings Biscuit and Wey Abbey. I cant decide between the two and dont think Ill get around to using both for awhile.
Not at this stage.. but ask CBB and he might be able to work his magic .. if so I can update the listing.. i gotta already update it tomorrow..Beertunes said:Many thanks Grainer for organising.
Just wondering if Weyermann Extra Pale Pilsner Malt is available?
Oh and filling the half way bags of splits.. that is awesome.. win win i see at BB prices.. great deal thanks CBB.
Cheers,
Yep, it's available from our supplier (it's just called "Premium" Pilsner malt). Price would be the same as the standard Pils malts.Beertunes said:Many thanks Grainer for organising.
