I had a few of these at the brewery a while back on tap and picked up a bottle on the weekend. A amazingly delicious hoppy amber ale.

Anyone had this and have any idea on a recipe?

Kit or Extract.

I don't have 100% of what you're after, but what I CAN tell you from my hunt for a clone of this is that it is finished with Cascade & Amarillo. How much and all that, I don't know.

If anyone can find a recipe of this in any format (or Growler for that matter) I'd be very keen.

Bump!

I love this beer also and have been trying to come up with a clone (2 attempts)

what i can tell you as i spoke to a guy working at the brewery is the hops are defiantly Simcoe and Amarillo.
unfortunately he wasn't sure about the grain bill.

still working on it, got the colour and hop profile down pat but missing that caramel flavour. any help would be great.
hope this helps gsouth.

Any more attempts at this? Or any notes on this recipe, as I may give it a go if it's as close as we can get!

if you follow my recipe above bump up the grain bill a bit. I tend to aim for 4% so the gravity would be a bit low if you want an exact clone, also bump up the ibu's.

it benefits from a light dry hop but not too much as the hop profile is pretty close i reckon. could remove some late additions and add more dry if you wanted.?

the one thing missing from my recipe is a caramel flavor that is in the 2bros. next time i'll be adding caramalt or similar to try and get the missing piece of the puzzle.

Let me know how it ends up if you go ahead.

anyone else have any hints on the caramel?

It is a nice beer, I tend to think the sweet finish is a nice blend of the fruity flavouring from the hops with some residual malt sweetness. Maybe just mash high?

I got a hint of Pine when tasting Grizz, so that would remove Cascade hops from the equation and replace it with Simcoe; Without a doubt, Amarillo is in there – Just MHO!
