G'day All, what is to old, i bought a couple of out of date extracts the other week and brewed them(ipa,malt shovel pa)which turn out very rich dark amber colour which i expected. My question is will the flavour of the extract be effected as well? So am i wasting my time.

James i've done the same once before but the results where o.k.,not a bad idea to whack it though a filter if you got one just to take any floaties out.

TonyG, Interested on how your CC turns out , I tried one about a month ago with the same ingreds; and was not very good had a strong honey flavour , but far as the supermarket kits go I,ve had some mixed result (coopers lager,apa,tooheys p.LAGER, baverian lager all have not BEEN bad)

What causes a brew to look so bad!

Yeah good advise if you have any doults get someone who has wired one up, but there isn't any gremlin's real, but if you are deal with a new fridge or freezer there maybe a circuit board involved which don't like cross wiring.

Yeah reading this advise Adamt makes me think that i have few issue to attend to climate issue i think maybe the main one ,(hot and muggy)frigdes are working overtime and the lenght of my lines. Also it is very pleasing to see my tax dollar going to a good coarse. B)

What would be the min. you would have the beer line, i'm having mixed results from my taps.My longest line is about 2m which is not necessary my best tap and 1.5 , 1.2 and one metre long. Or do i need to incease the length.

Eagerness is easy to combat with shear production, have rotation of about 8 kegs which gives a beer about 4 weeks mature before i rip into it :chug:
