Yeah should be able to. What temp do you think? Um, just thinking, with the lid, can I just sit the lid on top of the container? or will too much oxygen get in this way?

I'm moving my beer from my fermenter into a 25 litre container (from bunnings), just worried about oxygen when I rack. About to give racking ago. Is it as simple as attatching a hose to the tap of the fermenter, put the end of the hose into the secondary and turn the fermenter tap on? Just don't want to miss it up :P

Oooo that's clever. I use four ice packs around my fermenter that sits in a can cooler bag - works alright but I have to keep my eye on the temp. No room for a fridge right now.

What's the best way, apart from cold crashing, to clear out the beer? Could I ferment the wheat beer, rack onto fruit, then rack AGAIN through a strainer into another container... then bottle?

After moving beer from primary to secondary, I'm wondering what's the best cover for the secondary container... air tight lid with no holes okay? Or does secondary still need oxygen i.e. should drill a whole in the lid or use airlock? I'm racking my beer onto 2kg of fruit to get the fruits...

I don't pay attention to the airlock anymore, waste of time looking at it :P. Hydrometer readings and the obvious signs of fermentation are the way to go.
