Is it possible to cold crash without a fridge/freezer? Just wondering if anyone has tried due to lack of space/money/etc?

If not, I'll give it a go.. any suggestions?

I guess you could. Maybe grab a large tub to sit the fermenter in and stick a bag of ice in it (the tub that is). Cover over with something. Only prob doing it this way that I can see is you'll prolly go through a couple of bags of ice if you wated to keep it a the cold crash temps (2-3 degrees).

If you're really serious about having cooling available go looking for a fridge on e-Bay.

We picked up a 'kids drink fridge' just before Xmas and it's great,
just don't lie it down if you move it.

I cold crash in bottles (once they have carbed up) by stacking them in the back of the fridge.

ALDI have brand new bar fridges on sale quite regularly for less than $200 - haven't measured them up but I reckon they would fit at least a 25L round fermenter or a cube. At least you would be getting something with a warranty and brand new, should last for years.
