    Tankless Hot Water System

Yikes, that's pretty expensive to bowl a bottle of gas a brew. Are you running NASA's at full stick for all your vessels or doing double batches? I couldn't afford to brew at that rate with the cost of hops, malt and gas! Guess I've forgotten what it's like to brew with just gas as I've been...

    Stone Brewing Water Analysis.... Help!

Haysie, Not trying to pick a fight but you may not be fully understanding what I'm trying to say. By using reverse osmosis it basically doesn't matter what water you start with as the process essentially removes the salt component from the water getting you kind of close to distilled water...

    Pizza

My pizza oven, what comes out of it, and the pull of the fire. I'm a big fan of chicken, asparagus and brie. Awesome combo.

    Stone Brewing Water Analysis.... Help!

Sorry MHB, I stole your thunder, but we were heading down the same path anyway.

Tasmanian Entries For The 2010 Aabc

Thanks for thinking of us down here, I appreciate it. I'll try to get a beer or two in so will have to try and keep an eye out for dates so I can brew accordingly. Cheers.

    Brew Rig Design

Ah...this is pretty much what you've described  http://hbd.org/discus/messages/366/33903.html?1187742085 of course I would have no idea who's it is :icon_cheers:

    Stone Brewing Water Analysis.... Help!

I'm with MHB, Chances are pretty fair that they employ reverse osmosis or some other water treatment step-before they then add back whatever additions needed for the specific beer. I don't think Escondido water would really give you much insight at all as to what is actually used because they...

    Nasa Burner

Do a round of your local asian food stores, they often have high pressure wok burners. I've seen ones like this before in Asian and restaurant supply stores: http://www.auscrown.com/hpcastiron.php and they kick ass too like the NASA. But honestly, my nasa is over kill and can be an absolute gas...

Herms Vessel Designs And Pictures Wanted

Here is mine. 5-6L aluminium pressure cooker. 6m of 3/8" copper. Quick connect fittings on coil. Agitated stirring inside with stand alone temp controller that essentially functions as an over temp back up (my pot can't over over heat). Also allows the unit to heat up to the desired temp on...

My New Blown Natural Gas Burner

Ha ha, and most people worry about the noise of the NASA. I'd be working hard to deaden the noise from the vacuum cleaner motor or relocate it somewhere and extend the hose so that the boil time was something pleasant rather than a headache. I couldn't deal with that so the 4 ring...

    Stains On Base Of Keg

I'd give a soak in hot caustic. Be very careful of course. Especially careful if you are going to put the lid on and shake the thing because now you are dealing with a pressurised vessel of hot caustic that may spray if you aren't careful about how you release the pressure. Breweries use...

What Case Of Beer Would U Buy In The U.s.a.?

Distribution in Hawaii might be more limited than you think. Head to a local bottle-o, supermarket check what they have and then ask anyone you can find where the best selection of beers is, or search online before you go. Now having said that, all going well I'd go straight for Dogfish Head...

Where To Buy A Water Level Sight Glass For Mash Tun?

Firstly, there is no alcohol in the mash tun so it can have no effect on fittings/plastic. No magic happens until the yeast get involved. And infact, nothing needs to be sanitary on anything before the kettles valve as the boiled wort is on it's way out. Forget the sight gauge for the mash tun...

Basic Ag With Pics For Noobs

It's a smaller burner than yours but you can see what it's supposed to be doing. I didn't realise how close you has it to the bottom of the keg, thats one issue, but it's still not running right.

    Brew Rig Options

I dont know if you are in the vicinity of any dairies but dairy auctions or closing dairies would likely have a heat exchanger suitable. Good chance there might be an old one floating around too as many people upgrade over the years. Plenty of dairies shutting down so could be worth a few visits?
