I'm after a NASA burner to get my new BIAB up and running. Problem is Beerbelly is out of stock.

I've been on the forum most of the day reading up about different burners and where to get them but can't seem to find anything recent that states where else Nasa burners are sold. Exhausted google also.

I have emailed Wayne at beerbelly but really want to get going in the next 2 weeks, so just in case he's not getting any in for a while can anyone tell me who else sells them?

Thanks

Just got your edit :icon_cheers:

Auscrown seem to only have the mongolian burners.

Do the NASAs go buy another name?

I have the CB24 and it works a treat I purchased it from an industrial gas outlet called Supa Gas I think they are only a local Melbourne company. It cost me around $90 . I don't use it any more for I use immersion elements which are great .

Cheers
Beerbelly

The name Nasa is just a nickname given to the burner by a couple of us after Graham mentioned on the old craftbrewers list that you do not need a burner capable of reaching orbit to brew beer.
I don't know the actuall name for it but have always other then Nasa called it a turkey fryer.

Do a round of your local asian food stores, they often have high pressure wok burners. I've seen ones like this before in Asian and restaurant supply stores: http://www.auscrown.com/hpcastiron.php

and they kick ass too like the NASA. But honestly, my nasa is over kill and can be an absolute gas hog if not throttled back ALOT. Mine just ticks over for a 30L boil.

Or you can contact Auscrown directly. I ended up getting my Nasa style burner from an outdoor/disposal store. And got my regulator off ebay.

Good luck.

If only you were in SA: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/High-pressure-gas-b...2#ht_500wt_1182

I have this regulator here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LPG-regulator-/1205...1#ht_500wt_1182
An LPG regulator used for oxy/lpg welding/cutting is a suitable regulator for these burner too, just get a high pressure line to go with it.

Another option (check the pressure to make sure its high enough): http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Variable-Pressure-L...e7#ht_807wt_939

Does anyone know what would be suitable in terms of MegaJoules/Hour?

Will something around the 50 Mj/Hr be suitable for double batches or is it best to get something up around the 90 mark?
