I have about 6 PET bottles of left over yeast starter which I have been keeping in the fridge. Today I checked them (luckily) and some were so tight I open the lid and it frothed up so violently went from 2cm at the bottom to out the neck in seconds.

What can I do to save my yeast and grow it. How am I to keep it.

do I have to dry it?

There's a yeast farming sticky in the common ground section - http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...?showtopic=3697

That will tell you all you have never wanted to know about yeast farming but have been forced to find out.

Cheers
Dave
