Hey Brewers.

What can I expect from this yeast? I had another impulse buy moment at the brew shop. I was planing on the White Labs English for a hoppy brown ale, but got distracted and ended up with a slightly out of date Belgian ($6). Kegged it yesterday and it was fruity, but also dryish.

Any experience with the flavours of this yeast?

I've used it in Saison. It gave it a slightly banana/bubblegum vibe with some spice and a little Belgian phenolics.

It is the primary use used in Saison DuPont, from what I'm told.

Isn't 575 the blend?

Been meaning to use this for a while, I've got it banked but other projects keep getting in the way

Yeah it is the blend. I think the description of bubblegum seems right from what I tasted. Ah well, could be good or could be a dud. I've been trying some experiments lately.

Whoops, I was thinking about 565. Haven't used 575. My bad.
