Would anyone in the Singleton ish area have an A type keg opener they could lend me to open two kegs please?

Does it already have the little internal lug removed?
If they're being used as keggles, just use a stilson
if they're being kept, have you tried unscrewing it with the coupler?

They are still original, I got 3 and could only open one. The lids are on too tight for me, even made a dodgie tool that didnt work :( Was hoping to avoid bringing my stilsons home from work because I want to still use them as kegs
Just tried the coupler and didn't work :(

Ok, so I am pretty sure thse are the weird G type kegs. I managed to get one off but the other has a weird locking mechanism, has anyone had anything to do with this type before? 2016-10-18 10.43.51.jpg

There's a little locking lug inside
You need to grip the centre part, lift and turn, the internals of the spear should drop down
However when I did this with mine, it mangled the fark out of it
I believe because breweries fill/clean without taking the spear out, this is either a security or safety feature
They wouldn't normally remove the spear, so wouldn't need to damage it, if they were removing it, it would be getting replaced

Hmmm, maybe flick MHB a message, he seems to know a bit about these couplers
