I had a quote 12 months ago from a reputable local joiner for replacement of the windows shown in the photo with like for like timber replacements (sapele or accoya was offered). It was a big number and I can't afford it. Was wondering whether I could order double glazed timber replacements (probably mock sash) and fit them myself. I'd also have to replace the smaller units - main concern is once you start taking all that supporting boxwork apart you need to be sure you can finish the job. There is also the FENSA regulations to consider.
