Hi All

I'm hoping to find someone in Geelong area that can solder a pt100 connecter for me, I had one attempt at doing it myself which resulted in a melted mess I clearly do not have the correct gear or skills ...can anyone help me out or tell me where I could get it done?

Cheers

I'm too far away, so best I can do is offer instruction/advice.

Youtube is your friend, search tinning because that is the first thing you need to do. Basically you heat the wire (all by it's lonesome) and apply solder to the wire, yes you need three hands for the job or as I do pin the wire to the work bench with the iron.
Tin the other wire/ surface before trying to join the two.

Practice on some old speaker wire or such, really once you get it down it becomes an easy skill and quite useful.

cheers malt junkie....no other replies so looks like i'm spending the money on a decent soldering iron rather than beer.

I'll be practicing on the melted connector!!!!
