White Lbs Ale yeast Best Before July 17 2014

Can anybody help me out here. This will be my 4th BIAB and have noticed the yeast date is a little on the wrong side of the spectrum. Do you think it will still work sufficiently or should I make a starter? Any help appreciated. Cheers, Ben.

I'd absolutely make a starter. I would anyway, unless it was very fresh and going into a low gravity beer. Even then I'd probably make one

Made my first starter and absolutely no problems with it. Yeast worked a treat.
