Went in the other day (just moved and have been NETless for a while). SS 50L pots are $100 bucks but yes they're very thin. Alu 50L are $120, but they look good, very 'tuff' looking, 4mm thick. Personally after seeing them with my own eyes the Alu pots look a lot better than the cheap SS. They had good quality SS pots there to die for but they were closer to $300. So yeah Alu is best value it seems
 
I was in Hotel Agencies At 298 Nicholson St Fitzroy yesterday and they have good quality 50l stainless steel pots for $220.00 which I thought was fairly good value.
