Have to agree here. They also know their stuff and are more than happy to talk beer (or wine).

+1 for Thirsty Camel - great range of beer, not so flash for wine but I've grabbed a few good clean skins there. Also, Vintage Cellars in the main shopping strip in Yarraville has a good beer range. The most obscure beer in the area would have to be the Ethiopian lagers in Footscray. Try Africa Town for 1990s prices. $5 for a nip of Chivas last time I was there!
