Website Renovation

Hi All, being a bit of PC nuff nuff, website design/creation is not my forte. I have an existing horrible website that is in a word crap and doing nothing for my business yet I continue to hand over the hosting fees.

So I am seeking a referral,
somebody who can walk me thru the steps of what I should have in relation to what market I wish too target. I dont expect mates rates just someone with web experience and some flair for the advertising marketing side of things.
I havent posted up the existing link because it contains phone numbers etc. Feel free to PM for further discussion.

My best buddy is a web designer and has just finished a stint at Rio Tinto building them a water management web-based system. I'll chat him this afternoon and see if he's doing any private work again as he's between jobs and I'll get some URLs of his work and PM them to you.

Just off the top of my head he completely wrote this site a few years ago and he's improved heaps since then. He specialises in building a site that the owner can then take over and maintain via a set of hidden screens and he's a whiz at shopping carts etc etc. If he's free I'll drag him up here (he's in Bris) you can have a few pints with him on your forthcoming. :super:

My bro in law is a web designer and the missus is a graphic designer. They specialize In driving web traffic, market targeting etc

Plenty of free CMS setups if you want something basic and easy for you to update - think Wordpress, Drupal, etc

Not really into 'designing' sites ... but I can certainly host your site for very little $$ or a few of your finest brews PM me

Fella`s thanks for the responses and to the guys Airgead,Warmbeer,MVZOOM for the PM`s.
A few small issues too sort out this week re. the current co. set up, trading as trading names etc. Awaiting confirmation of the use of certain logos, then I got to get the marketing head on so I can supply a brief. I already have my domain registered and in use, just this time I want to get it right and move the yellow pages advertising elsewhere.
