Washer on crown urn sight glass

Took the sight glass off my urn and now that I have the right size screw to block it off I want to put it back on.

I'm guessing that the washer goes with the nut on the inside of the urn. If someone with a crown urn could check theirs and confirm that would be great. Thanks

I did the same, I put the washer on the outside - works ok.

ed: just checked on my other 20L crownie that's in original condiiton, that's on the outside as well.
