Toucan Or Not Toucan

Just sanitized my new 2nd fermenter, unused from ebay.

I have a Coopers ipa tin,
1kg of brewing sugar
400g ldme

I have some re-cultured yeast in the fridge from some real Coopers IPA.

BUT my new fermenter had a Coopers Lager tin in it too, Best before 27/09/09

Should I bin the Lager tin or make a toucan?

never thought of that - perhaps lager + 500g white sugar in 11 liters +new kit yeast from the IPA tin.

I was wondering about that as well. Surely an IPA would require way too many hops for Coopers to be interested.
