Hey guys, keen on any advice or critique on my Pilsner recipe ive knocked up, ive got some bits and pieces around that I want to use up, and a big cake of 2124 to use... Im going for something fairly easy drinking that will be lagered untill deep into summer for those warm days B)

This is what ive got so far - ive also got 100g of Carared and am considering throwing this into the mix??

1.5kg Bohemian Pils
1.5kg Golden promise
900g Wheat
450g Maize

Hop wise i was thinking just a 45 min addition of Simcoe or centennial would be quite nice with an OG:BU ratio of about 50%

Cheers B)

Your recipe sounds promising

It's not a Pilsener but I knocked up a brew a coupla weeks ago using

4.75 kg Maris Otter Pale Malt
15.00 gm Simcoe [12.30%] (40 min)
No chill

Bottled 4 days ago

Tasted nice and could be a good summer quaffer

Add the carared....bitter with simcoe & finish with centeenial..... A lovely Summer ale that will work great with the lager yeast.

cheers Ross

Nice idea!! So centennial for flavour as well? Or just say 20gms at FO??

Cheers

I'd go 40gms at flame out steeped for 20 minutes at approx 90c, you'll get plenty of flavour, but then I love centeenial.

Cheers Ross
