Mate. That sounds great. I called in a couple of months ago on my lunch break (DSTO) and had a chat to one of the guys there about CO2 and their "Supa Mix" blend. The deal at the time was pretty much same as BOC and AirLiquide - you have to rent the cylinder for $$ + pay $ for refills.

Be sure to post your findings.

Gotta boast about my 20kg bottle I found full outside of a local scrap yard worth every bead of sweat it took to drag it into the house.

LOL...Nice one Gnome. Cost a bit to fill that I'd reckon.

Stopped in tonight to have another yarn about the prospects. Unfortunately it seems as though it's something that is on the cards that hasn't really had a fair chuck around the table yet. Still, Doesn't mean that the rest of us can't continue to show our support for such a porno idea.

The ingenious that brained up the idea has a brilliant marketing ploy I reckon. You sit and do the sums yourselves. Just about every company wants you to hire their bottles for a rather rude amount. (Easy to write of for a pub, but rediculous for the home brewer). The first company to come out with the swap & bugger off could make a killing. You concider. If said company brings it out with say $60 initial outlay with $40 refill on 6kg bottle. Not only are they still cheaper than the competition, but they also could watch sales increase as supply and demand increase as not only do home brewers cotton on, but also just about every pub and club within cooey of the joint. :beerbang:

Anyhow. I'm sure the more we request this kind of idea the higher the chance of it actually happening.

so its $10 per month rental? $120 per year? whats the difference between that and the other mob?

*edit - guess the savings in the costing of the refill.
