I'm calling the supplier again today. I'm certainly happy to pursue the metabisulfide for you. Odds are it comes from the same warehouse as the metasilicate. Might be an easy addition. I'm interested in using it as well....just for the learning if nothing else.

I've been informed that the Sodium metabisulphite is classified as food grade whereas the metasilicate is classified as dangerous goods. They cannot be on the same shipment and will incur its own freight cost.

One small issue, I need someone on south side to collect my 2 bags depending on when it's required. As I am going to be out at winton/longreach area from Saturday till the 4th July . I am in Shailer Park.

Hi, it's all good. I was getting confused between metasilicate and metabisulfide. For the PBW mix you use metasilicate. The metabisulfide is used to kill off unwanted wild Yeast etc prior to pitching proper brewing yeast if using fresh fruit etc, hence the food grade.

For this bb I am only after the metasilicate.
