Clearly, this isn't apples to apples, but the general consensus seems to be single malt whiskys are the most flash. So is there a style of beer that relies on one type of malt exclusively?

Single malt whisky is a whisky made from only one type of malted grain and distilled at one particular distillery. - Say's wiki anyway. I spose 'type' is open to interpretation as in there is more than one 'type' of pale malt.I'm not sure that this is entirely correct -
i thought "single malt" refers to the fact that it is from one distillery, not a blended whisky, and certainly not refferring to the fact that they are more 'flash'. And whiskys are inherently made from one type of malted barley.
but yes, SMaSH beers are single malt and single hopped beers.

My standard beers are brewed exclusively with Pilsener malt, nothing else and so many of the German beers are brewed.Clearly, this isn't apples to apples, but the general consensus seems to be single malt whiskys are the most flash.
