Am downsizing to a small fermenting fridge and was chasing ideas for setting it up.

Already have:-

330 litre fridge only (old side by side)
Heatbelt
Computer fan (on order)
TempMate (on order from Ross)

Looking for ideas on how best to mount fan?
Best place to put heat belt?
Best way to reinforce/replace shelves?

Will post pics of work in progress ASAP.
You show me yours and I'll show you mine

Don't downsize...you'll regret it. I wanted a fridge that would hold one fermentor I'm now secretly hoping it will kark it so I can buy a proper one.

I can photoshop it in front of Ross' bar if needed!!

Yeah, it's definitely a Coopers... Who wouldn't recognise those ;)

Ah yes, the Coopers fat squat fermentor, the memories come flooding back.
Memories, like the corner of your......

What's with the double air locks though?

Here... this is my all-in-one-fridge. For fermenting, lagering and pouring:

Meanwhile it's better insulated and painted blue.

Cheers,

Alex

There is something not very exciting about a fermentation fridge

Everyone seems to have a 'Fridgemate temperature controller' , now they are a great bit of kit used every minute of every day

Pumpy :)

I reckon. My fridge looks like everyone else's, but I would like to put a better platform on the bottom for stability.
Going to have another fridgemate controlling the hermit crabs light shortly..... :)

Wamb,

Yes the compressor cover is worth knocking up

It's been posted before, but if you insist on a game of "You show me yours and I'll show you mine", then,

(and as usual, mine's smaller than most :D )

Fester.

Here's my new baby
All done
I've used a heat belt as the heat source
I'm running the differential at 0.5C and the compressor delay at the factory 3 minutes

Thanks heaps Ross for the TempMate :icon_cheers:
