I make it 58 so far? WooHoo! 14 to go! Better get in quick or ya'll miss out.

Anyone interested in going 1/5th's in some specialties like some of the cara's, Roasted Barleys, munichs and alike? I figure if 5 of us go in we can 5 x 5kg's of different specialties making up 25kg in all to each person. Just a thought? I will be happy to divide and distribute.

Hey Guys, im cool to organise this and get payments when it comes time, ive messaged Sqyre to get the spreadsheet for it and adjust the prices on it and get things into perspective a bit..

From what I see so far there are no spare splits ATM? Chappo, are you and Jye sharing that Wey Rye? The other half will have to be added to Jyes name.. ;)

And I will go in with Ecosse on the 1/2 Wey Munich if thats cool Ecosse.. :D

Chappo, are you looking at 5ths in just one Spec Malt(as in buy a bag and split it)? I would go 5ths in something nice, I dont want 5kg of Roasted Barley though :p ..

I would be in for 5th of an Amber and Choc if this gets under way
 
What I was thinking was 5 sacks split 5 ways so each person gets a 1/5th of each sack therefore 5kg of each type specialty grain which is better than trying to chew thru 25kg of spec grain that you may only use 0.6kg in a recipe at a time. If ya get my drift? I think the more common/useful specialities would be the go such as Sully has suggested. Although getting all to agree might prove difficult?

Oh right, sounds like a good idea, might struggle for the numbers though?? I just order my Specs from Ross in little bits(10 brews at a time), I then dont have a shitload of something hanging around..

Maybe if we just put 1 or 2 bags out there to split?? Maybe a Crystal(of sorts)and Melanoidon?? Good for alround brews..

Dingemans Aromatic is a mildly kilned malt that will add a strong malt aroma and deep color when used as a specialty malt. This malt can make up to 100% of the grain bill, but it is fairly low in surplus diastatic enzymes.

Special B (140 - 155 L)
The darkest of the Belgian crystal malts, Dingemans Special B will impart a heavy caramel taste and is often credited with the raisin-like flavors of some Belgian Abbey ales. Larger percentages (greater than 5%) will contribute a dark brown-black color and fuller body.

Roasted Wheat (Tarwe Mout Roost 27) (10 - 14 L)
Dingemans Roasted Wheat is a slightly roasted wheat that will lend nutty, bread-like flavors.

Biscuit (Mout Roost 50) (18 - 27 L)
This toasted malt will provide a warm bread or biscuit flavor and aroma and will lend a garnet-brown color. Use 5-15% maximum. No enzymes. Must be mashed with malts having surplus diastatic power.

Chocolate (Mout Roost 900) (300 - 380 L)
Dingemans Chocolate malt is a high-nitrogen malt that is roasted at temperatures up to 450F and then rapidly cooled when the desired color is achieved. "Chocolate" refers primarily to the malt's color, not its flavor. This malt will lend various levels of aroma, a deep red color, and a nutty / roasted taste, depending on the amount used. De-Bittered Black Malt (Mout Roost 1400) (500 - 600 L)
Using an exclusive evaporative process, Dingemans De-Bittered Black Malt will contribute the same color characteristics as Black malt with a less astringent flavor.

Just to clarify Im only interested in one 1/5 share, hopefully Aromatic, all the rest I will buy of Ross in smaller quantities.
