Just comparing some prices from the Last Bulk Buy and the New Bulk Grain prices from Ross, really awesome price reductions guys.. Some examples:

Barret Burston Pale, Galaxy and Ale - $5 cheaper per sack.
Bairds Pilsner - $7 cheaper, Ale $11 cheaper, Crystals $10 cheaper, Dark Malts $5 cheaper
TF Floor Malted - MO $4 Cheaper
Weyermann - Pils, Ale, Vienna $5-$6 cheaper

While for 1 sack, it may not be the best saving, but for a few, the savings can cover the freight component a bit.. Also, in these Bulk Buys, you can save $20-$30 per sack of Grain, so some food for thought for anyone that is not sure... ;)

For the newcomers that may not realise, the prices shown on Craftbrewer does NOT include the freight from the Supplier to Craftbrewer - which has split up between participants. I think it was around $275 a pallet.

I may be in for a sack or 2.

I remember a HBS telling me that prices should fall significantly around Easter time, good to see it actually happening Ross.

Certainly makes sense when you see the world price for Barley - it has fallen by around 30% in A$ terms since its peak in mid 2007. I read an article the other day that in Australia the spread between feed and malting barley is at its lowest level for a long time as well (something like $20/t).

Yes, works out to be about $7.60 per sack(based on full 36 sack pallet), still a great saving...

Good work guys, we are at about 28-30 sacks ATM :beerbang: , only 6 or so more for 1 pallet, should be easy to get to 2 pallets hey.... Its only been running for 1 day also :party: ..

What with all these Brissy brewers in the BB those freight prices are to CraftBrewer I presume?
We really should have a cut-off date so that Ross can tell us if he has the room for this BB & that it's ok with him.
How about the last weekend in May as CB suggested in post 1?
