Imagine using this plasma flashlight to sanitize everything in the brewery and not having to worry about using liquid sanitisers
Anymore? Maybe one day.

SWMBO has something that looks like that sitting in the side drawer............Wonder if it would do the same trick?

Doubt it would be useful to sanitise a fermenter. But they do use UV in tubes to "sanitise" water. Often used in combination with partical filtration.

some breweries use ozone.. works great. has a very short half-life into non toxic products.

edit: UV santisation of water is by generation of ozone, btw. But it's more easily produced on demand by arc discharge I believe
