Roadside Pickups - Free Stuff

Thought it might be a good idea to have a thread for free stuff we see on the side of the road, I see stuff all the time that could be tasked for brewing so lets kick this off with a good one..

This Drafting table has been sat there for over a month, if I was still bottling I would snap it up in a heartbeat, you could sit your FV on an angle on the 'drafting' part of the table to make bottling easier.



Much better than the ghetto thing I made to do the same job, and when not in use it folds flat to become a good work platform.

Council clean up in Ashfield this weekend. Lots of opportunities to pick up unused fridges and bits

we dont get them anymore sadly, council put a stop to it the *******s

my local council gives you 4 a year, you have to call and arrange them though, its not the whole area putting **** out at once

I found an awesome kids slide a little while back, grabbed it and took it home.

Kids had a play on it, and the little bloke got a bit of a rash, must have been some loose fibres.

So I put it out at our place, and it was gone that day.

The cycle continues..............


I also noticed that people seem to put out chest freezers when they fail. I peeked in a couple, and they certainly dont go to the effort of cleaning them - can be quite a surprise what you see in there, and you can often guage the time since it died :blink:

Got one coming up in Carina Brisbane on the 8th Dec. and a few suburbs around already getting stuff out. Looking for a kitchen sink to make an outdoor wash/potting bench.
Couple of years ago picked up and Ikea sofa bed and still got it, the guy had only had it for a few months and only used it a few times it was in top condition.
