Has anyone attempted to "hard plumb" their kegs? Really getting tired of leaky gas connections

I welded snaplok fittings on all my kegs.I use snaplok gas and beer line check valves. Expensive fix, but no more leaking problems.

A little update - all but 2 lines have slow leaks. Since the common factor between them are the cheap plastic disconnects, I reckon they're the culprit. SS ones on the way

Yes, I find 9 times out of 10 my shitty QDs have ruined the seal on the gas post of the keg. I am also going to upgrade to SS disconnects.

Heading to Mexico and USA on Tuesday. Any recommendations for beer/brewery venues in Mexico City, Texas, Colorado, Las Vegas and San Francisco?

Colorado is a big place, but yes, Fat Tire as mentioned, and New Belgium. Shitloads of great breweries there and in San Francisco. Try 21st Amendment in SF.

Colorado, go to left hand and drink some nitro stout
Aldi cider. My first cider brew and so far, so good! So much easier than beer

Did an Aldi 11 litre cider batch in late April, just tasted and although a little "tart", will be good drinking in the warmer weather.

Yeah it did seem mildly tart, but I figured that was normal for cider.

Anyone tried fermenting black currant juice?

Would that be like eating prunes, same result so to speak?
Visited the stainless supply store. Came out $120 poorer for some compression fittings and a valve! This thing about copper causing oxidation better be true...
Me to the girlfirend: "I might brew this weekend". GF:"OK. Want me to pick up the ingredients 'cause I'll be near the brew shop for work". I consider myself lucky!

Me: "I want to brew in 3 weekends' time" "Ok... why are you telling me?"
Three weekends later, her: "We're going somewhere today, I've made plans"
Urgh. Tried my honey oat porter last night. Delicious, but totally flat. Is this a thing with WLP007?

Good to hear that it's worked for you. I bottled after a few days cold crashing. Been a couple weeks in the bottle at ~15-16 degC. I might warm em up a bit
Just made the mistake of sampling a granule of calcium chloride. Ouch.
