Hi guys, I'm new to the brew world and have a simple question I'm sure you can answer for me.
I have done a (xxxx gold) brew, all went well during fermentation, I left the brew to sit a further 4 days after I had a solid sg reading to clean it up a little.
It has great flavour and smell. I bottled it into glass and set aside.
My question is.
I have the standard residue at the bottom of each stubble, but I also have a similar looking residue at the top, floating. Is this normal?
All bottles were cleaned well and sterilized.
Cheers

No, but I can't remember what the sugar/mix was I used.

It's a bit hard to get a good photo, but the sediment/residue sinks if I disturb it.

My guess that its just a thin layer of krausen that gets formed as a result of the natural fermentation process. If so then nothing to worry about. How long has it been in the bottle? If around a week then chill one and crack it - won't be perfectly conditioned yet but if it tastes like beer then you know you have no worries.

You must be reading my mind LF, I put on in the fridge earlier for that same reason.
Thanks for the quick response guys
