NS Glacier Golden Ale

Ale - American Pale Ale
All Grain
- - - - -

Brewer's Notes

Mashed at 65 degrees for 90 minutes but it dried out to 1.006 and was a tad too dry. 67 is perhaps the sweet spot, considering the 90 minute mash makes it more fermentable.
My calculated IBU was 29. 7.5 g hop additions are dry hops.
A very long slow fermentation, with activity continuing for about two weeks. Lager-like from the low temperature fermentation. Pitched at 16 degrees, allowed to rise over a couple of days to 18, then finished off at 20. Dry hop pellets added directly into primary after 10 days while still active.
Nice malt profile and the NS hops are not overly aggressive. Pleasant but a bit inoffensive for my taste. A good one for uneducated, megaswill drinking friends.
