But just out of curiosity, I am reading all of these recipes and there is no mention of how much water I need to start.
Am I missing something? Is the amount of water a ratio to how much grain is added?
FWIW.....Got the attached Pilsner Urquell clone recipe from a Kiwi mate in the UK. I don't know the original source of it, so I can't credit it.
